With deep heartache we share the loss of our founder, mentor, and friend, David J. Koga. David passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. His unwavering kindness and warmth defined his journey and the countless lives he touched. David was a visionary leader whose passion for his craft was matched only by his deep care for those around him. He uplifted those around him, inspiring confidence and camaraderie in all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had an immeasurable impact on the Treasure Valley and beyond. Through his dedication and expertise, David helped shape the landscapes of Idaho and surrounding states - leaving a lasting mark on the places we call home. Through his design of natural systems, residential communities, parks, and educational facilities, his work has redefined the Intermountain West. His vision and creativity will influence the region for generations to come. David’s legacy is not only the landscapes he designed, but also in the people he brought together. Within our company he cultivated a team and built a family. Through his leadership, collaboration, and generosity, he created a culture of unity and selflessness. His memory lives in the spaces he shaped, the relationships he nurtured, and the profound impact he had on all of us. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his vision, spirit, and love of his craft will continue to guide us. David, thank you for everything. You will be deeply missed. Your legacy lives on in every landscape and life you touched.
