Did your startup get a rap shout out Thursday? ?? ?? If you were at The Knowledge Shop's "Founder & Friends Speakeasy" event on Thursday, the answer is very likely YES! Unlike most other tech events, we did things a little different… 1. We partnered with Meet in 10 for their pre-launch. Attendees were connected with likeminded individuals ahead of time, so they didn't have to walk into a room of strangers, and more importantly to help them achieve their objectives from the event. (as an event organiser it boosted attendance too, so that was really nice ??) 2. We curated the attendee list, so unless you were a sponsor / bought a premium ticket - only founders actively building or investors were approved. 3. Special performance by the incredible Event Rap team - shout out to Baba Brinkman and Dex McBean - who did one of their legendary “Rap Ups”. A summary of insights and convo’s they had with fellow founders that evening - to help spread the word, and help people remember the event. You need them if you organise events too - I mean if its good enough for the UN.... The event was only possible, because The Churchill Tavern - https://lnkd.in/ewkQwJ_P very kindly opened their space to us - huge thank you to Sinead Naughton and her entire team for hosting. If your friend just launched a company, here's what you should do: 1- Buy the product without asking for a discount 2- Write a review/testimonial 3- Find people in your network who could benefit from it. You have no idea how much impact you can have as a first supporter to someone who's just getting started ?? P.S: If you're not in the target audience, do #3 only.
