Partnering with a rural Kenyan community to bring education and health care to preschool and primary school students.

关于我们

The Kilgoris Project partners with the local community to educate and feed the children of a Maasai Village in rural, southwest Kenya. We work hand-in-hand with local leaders and families to operate preschools and primary schools, provide daily food and clean water, and foster economic development.

  • Get to Know Our New President, Zach Carpenter Zach Carpenter was born in the Mile High City of Denver and now calls Laramie home. When he's not flying the TKP flag high, you'll find him cycling (as coach, competitor, or casual rider), experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new places with his wife Morgan, or chasing after Tucker, his beloved dog. Our team describes him as an optimistic, charismatic, and enthusiastic person, qualities that shine through his leadership philosophy: "A team thrives when everyone's voice is heard." What draws Zach to TKP? "We prioritize perspectives closest to the issues we address. Our students achieve amazing outcomes through partnership. Visit Kilgoris once, it will change your life!"? #ImpactLeadership #TheKilgorisProject

Breaking Ground: The Power of Local Leadership in African Philanthropy The narrative of African development is evolving, and a few weeks ago, The Kilgoris Project took a bold step forward by hosting our first all-Kenyan philanthropic tour. As we welcomed eight distinguished Kenyan leaders to our campuses, we witnessed a powerful shift in the philanthropy landscape, one where local leaders take center stage in shaping their communities and the future. Our guests, dubbed; (Visitors with Good News) by our team, represented various sectors of Kenya’s social impact sphere. What made this tour extraordinary wasn’t just the caliber of our visitors, but the deeper understanding that emerged from having local leaders engage with our work. As they interacted with students at Intimigom, Oloilalei, Nentekeny, and Olticampu campuses, they saw beyond the surface of our programs to recognize the cultural nuances and community dynamics that drive our success. The two-day journey, culminating in a visit to the Maasai Mara, demonstrated that sustainable development requires more than just resources; it demands local insight, cultural understanding, and community trust. As we move forward, we’re excited to strengthen these local partnerships and continue building a model of development that truly serves our communities. #TheKilgorisProject #AfricanPhilanthropy #LocalFundraising Ashley Brigham Ashley Gasperi Buya Mukonzo Waihiga K. • Drumrolls please? ?? We are THRILLED to announce that our very own Zach Carpenter has been promoted and is our new TKP President! While he may be new to the role, he is not new to TKP. Zach has been heading the TKP Finance Department for the past 5 years! His transition reflects our commitment to growing from within, recognizing talent, and fostering leadership that understands our mission inside and out. With Zach at the helm, we look forward to an exciting new chapter of impact, and continued growth. #TheKilgorisProject #ImpactLeadership

  • In our classrooms, magic happens daily. Our teachers don't just teach—they mentor, nurture, and inspire. In our playgroup, our teachers guide these adorable babies through school basics and they celebrate each small victory. This is what dedication looks like: unwavering support, day after day.

  • Teaching is a calling, and our educators answer it with their whole hearts. From reporting early in the morning to helping out with any problems after class, they go above and beyond to unlock each child's potential. Because they know that in every student sits a future leader, innovator, or changemaker waiting to emerge.

Dalton is a 14 Year Old Grade 4 student at our Intimigom campus. He wants to be an artist when he grows up and has started sharpening his artistic skills. His favorite subjects are science and Arts, and he draws quite a lot during his free time. At Intimigom, he has all the support he needs to grow his budding interest and turn it into a profession.
