Sam Zvirzdys headed to Spokane for the Manufacturing Suppliers Expo presented by Northwest Aerospace News Magazine and NIMA.?He caught up with many familiar faces.

Denise Ryser and Chris Groves headed east to learn about Montana State University-Bozeman's new Innovation Campus. Bozeman has developed a robust innovation ecosystem and their work is leading the way in critical tech areas. While many of us enjoyed the sunshine this weekend, teams participated in the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Space Apps Challenge with Space Northwest! PNW MAC was proud to host a kick-off on Friday night and the challenge on Saturday and Sunday. Programmers, engineers, data scientists, innovators, and others worked to develop solutions to address NASA challenges using real open-source data from space! We welcomed retired NASA Astronaut Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, who shared her experience from her journey to space in April 2010 on Space Shuttle mission STS-131. We are excited and inspired by all of the projects attendees presented on Sunday and look forward to future developments.
