The Junior League of Austin转发了
It has been such an honor to serve as Capitalines Editor and help tell the story of The Junior League of Austin. This fall's issue is arriving in members' mailboxes this week! As part of my research for an article, I explored our archives and dug up some JLA monthly news sheets from our beginnings in the 1930s—how special to be part of that tradition of recording these inspiring women's philanthropic and leadership accomplishments. This year, I had a bare-bones committee, so HUGE thanks are owed to the following: Andrea Reick for handling a lot of writing assignments during her summer break as a teacher. Christi Eastham and Andrea Lofye for pitching in with writing in addition to their responsibilities as Designer and Sustaining Advisor. Former Capitalines Editors Rekha Roarty for helping with a last-minute story, Melissa (Missy) Sharpe for creating the film strip frame for our cover, and Jenn Wilson for her mentorship last year. Hilary Roberts, Layla Lester, Megan Keup, and Katherine Brown-Siebenaler for the extra pairs of eyes. Danielle Bornowski and Courtney Dickey for their hands-on leadership and steadfast support through everything. And everyone who answered an email, text, phone call, or Facebook group post for me along the way, whether for a full-on interview or to help me ID members in a photo. JLA women are the best of the best. Two men should get mention as well: Steve Bond from 360 Press Solutions, who provides the friendliest customer service. And my husband, Zack Teibloom, without whom being a working mom juggling this side volunteer project would be an impossible undertaking. https://lnkd.in/gMfbbXf7
