Jubilee Association of Maryland helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Montgomery County, Maryland live their best lives. With nearly 50 years of experience helping people live independently, more than 200 adults now count on Jubilee for residential and housing support services. Our work promotes independence, navigates housing, and connects friends. Jubilee's core values, including respect, human dignity and ethical practices are integral to who we are and what we do. Jubilee is committed to serving and employing people of diverse cultures, races, religions, and economic circumstances. The Academy at Jubilee, launched in 2024, provides high-quality training for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and others in the disability services field.

A home of their own is the dream for the 212 people who now turn to Jubilee’s Housing Support Services for assistance. Jubilee's Amanda G. stopped by Main Street Connect recently to touch base with a few of the 14 people Jubilee has helped find home at Main Street. Shazmin tells us that "Living at Main Street is a blast. Amanda’s help has been so great. In powerful testimony today to the Maryland Senate budget committee, developmental disability advocates joined together to urge lawmakers to stop cuts that will hurt Marylanders. Jubilee’s Executive Director Steve Keener shared how DD budget cuts hurt real people who rely on Jubilee.
Alex’s childhood was chaotic. He did not have medical documentation verifying his disability before age 21, which makes him ineligible for federal Medicaid funding. Alex relies on Maryland's "state-only funding" to get the support he needs from Jubilee. Governor Wes Moore's budget eliminates "state-only funding" for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities like Alex.
