The Joy of Sox? is a nonprofit whose MISSION is to help give joy and health to those experiencing homelessness by giving them new socks. Their VISION is to be the most effective sock charity in the United States and to give every person experiencing homelessness in America six new pairs of socks every year. The Joy of Sox does three things: 1. Raises funds. 2. Collects new socks (helps raise community awareness of homelessness). 3. Distributes the socks to those experiencing homelessness. How Can You Help? If you are interested in helping provide a basic need such as socks for the homeless we can definitely use your support. To accomplish this we need: Contributions from individuals, companies, and foundations. Involvement by community groups such as schools or service clubs to conduct sock drives Volunteers to help sort, package and distribute the socks. The Joy of Sox is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our volunteers are the HEART of our organization! We are so grateful for everyone who lends a hand, from counting and sorting socks in our warehouse to making phone calls and scheduling pick ups. In the month focused on love, we want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for all that you do!

Over the years, we have been proud to partner with many local groups who share the same mission of helping those in need. One of these organizations "In Ian's Boots" frequently picks up socks from our warehouse in our signature purple bags to distribute to their community. Thank you to the Miller Family for continuing to spread joy and hope in their son Ian's honor!

Many of you know that we rely on the generosity of our donors to stock our shelves with much-needed socks. But once we receive the socks, how do we get them to the community? We partner with many local organizations, non-profits, places of worship, etc. who distribute socks to those who need them most, such as our dear friend Bill Bishop pictured here with #TJOS co-founder Nancy Costello. It truly takes a village of volunteers to fulfill our mission!
