I’m excited to announce the publication of our Policy Memo, "Shining a Light on Equitable Solar Energy: Addressing Challenges and Enhancing Opportunities for Business Participation in Community Solar," in the Journal of Science Policy & Governance (JSPG)! Collaborating with 2024 Christine Mirzayan Fellows on this project was an incredible opportunity to dive into a field far outside my expertise—solar energy—and to work as a team to write a Policy Memo. We aimed to highlight real pathways for expanding community solar project use and impact. Many thanks to my co-authors for their insights, dedication, and teamwork: Atif Ashraf, Matt Boehm, Aida Davila, PhD, and Melinda Paduani. I’m proud of what we created together and grateful for the chance to learn and grow alongside such talented people! Check it out to learn more about actionable paths toward inclusive community solar ?? #SolarEnergy #SciencePolicy #CommunitySolar

Advocate for scientific research and innovation at the federal level | AAAS STPF/ASGCT Congressional Policy Fellow in U.S. House of Representatives
Thanks John Patrick Flores Rami Major for inviting me on the podcast 'From Where Does It STEM?' to discuss my career path from the lab to science policy and advocacy. Listen here: https://lnkd.in/edVau74f. We covered what science policy is, academic culture change, career growth, being open to opportunities, pivot points including AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships, and aspirations for future impact. We also had fun questions around self-growth, life coaching, and stepping back to assess next steps in our lives. It was an enlightening conversation on cultivating policy and advocacy passions, and more. Fun facts: ? The podcast aims to capture stories of resilience, scientific journeys, and inspiration that have built and shaped many diverse scientists, and is a Spotify Next Wave Award Winner (congrats!). ?? Former NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins was previously interviewed on this podcast, in a very inspiring chat: https://lnkd.in/e6zRuzps.
