??Consumer Confidence showed a solid uptick recently, with the Conference Board’s latest report revealing the Consumer Confidence Index increased in October to 108.7 (1985=100), up from 99.2 in September. This increase was largely driven by a more optimistic outlook on future income and job availability, with the Expectations Index seeing an increase by 6.3 points to 89.1.
