While the United States organ donation and transplant system is much more efficient than it's ever been, recent lapses in operational efficiency and clinical judgment are cause for concern. Unfortunately, the organ donation system in America suffers from light regulation and little consequence. However, there are ways to bring things under control and ensure more donor organs reach patients in need. The real question is: will we?flex more regulatory muscle? Asthma is one of the most expensive diseases in the United States. While there has been recent action from inhaler manufacturers to lower drug prices, there is still much to be done to make treatment affordable for patients. Kristina Carvalho, MSW has a new post on TIE in which she offers solutions on how to ensure patients have affordable options, while also supporting innovation from drug companies. https://lnkd.in/eBhB3J6V
