Words I never expected to hear from a client: "You will be proud of me." One of the most rewarding parts of being an HR consultant is helping brilliant, highly accomplished leaders navigate the human side of business. Recently, I worked with a CEO—an incredibly educated, successful professional—who had been avoiding a difficult but necessary conversation with an employee. He knew the conversation needed to happen, but like many leaders, he hesitated. Through a few conversations, I helped him see why addressing the issue was critical—not just for the employee, but for the health of the business. I gave him the tools and confidence to approach it in a way that would be constructive and impactful. Then, I got the text: “I had the conversation, and it went really well.” And then, something I never expected - “You will be proud of me.” That moment stuck with me. Having a client—someone who has achieved so much—aspire to gain my approval was both surprising and incredibly rewarding. It reinforced why I do what I do. Helping leaders step into these moments with confidence, strengthening their leadership, and ultimately improving their organizations—that’s the value I love bringing to my clients. #HRConsulting #LeadershipDevelopment #CriticalConversations #HRImpact #HRView
