The John Krueger Joy of Singing Vocal Performance Scholarship opens on September 3, 2024! Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir is offering a Music Vocal Performance Scholarship at an undergraduate level for a one time $1,000 award. The scholarship aims to assist and promote vocal performance music education at a four-year university in the city of Houston, TX. We are delighted to share moments captured from the Summer Sacred Music Choral Festival under the direction of Houston Cecilia’s Artistic Director, Gonzalo Ramos. Mr. Ramos, prepared and conducted the Summer Sacred Music Choral Festival ecumenical concert consisting of 150+ choristers, accompanied by orchestra, featuring John Rutter’s Requiem sponsored by the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston. Mr. Ramos led a combined chorus with members from across the Greater Houston area. The festival was a wonderful experience for Houston Cecilia choristers that joined the chorus for this 2nd annual event.

Sunday was a beautiful day to sing the National Anthem at the Space Cowboys game at Constellation Field Sugar Land. It was an absolute joy to sing on the field and to meet Orion, the team’s mascot.
