It’s officially spring! What better way to celebrate the season than to step-up as an everyday environmentalist with Honeycomb this Earth Month? Honeycomb is committed to protecting our planet—not just during Earth Month, but all year long. Through our programs, Honeycomb volunteers learn how to restore beaches, parks, and playgrounds across our city. They engage in upcycling, recycling, and growing fresh food for neighbors in need. This Earth Month, we’re asking our hive to join us in an movement that’s more important than ever—with dozens of volunteer projects, at-home activities, and Green Bee eco-missions, we can take the first step toward a healthy planet, together. Wow!! On a beautiful March Sunday, 50 Honeycomb volunteers gathered at the Nature Preserve to remove invasive buckthorn. Every month, Honeycomb families are making a real impact by restoring native ecosystems and fighting climate change right here in Chicago. Annika Chopra (age 15) recently joined the Honeycomb Leadership Corps after several years of volunteering with Honeycomb Project. “I always leave a project feeling like I did something good for people and I was able to make someone’s day better, even if it is on a very small scale," Annika says. Gauri and her husband, Raj, are extremely proud to see their daughter blossom through a love of service. Their son, Vikram (age 13), also participates since they found Honeycomb several years ago. We’re officially announcing our 2025 Green Bee Challenge—an Earth Month-long activation that will help us all take first steps toward a healthy planet, together. This February, Honeycomb hosted our Lend a Hand event for ECG Management Consultants! One of the first events held at their new downtown office, ECG employees made blankets, board books, puzzles, and activity pages for the pediatric patients at Ann & Robert H.
