We're having a great semester at the Hive Makerspace! This semester we've trained over 60 new Peer Instructors in soldering, laser cutting, and 3D printing as well as specialty technical areas like embedded systems, machine shop, and PCB fabrication. Student volunteer Peer Instructors staff the makerspace every weekday from 10AM-6PM, helping students use our equipment to create their own projects! We've also hosted 12 student-led workshops so far this semester, teaching skills from CAD to creating custom rubber stamps. We are open to any member of the Georgia Tech community, regardless of major, year, or previous experience. Stop by during open hours or sign up for our newsletter for workshop information!

A huge thank you to the Hive Makerspace for hosting a special event for ECE Staff members this week! ECE staff were able to solder printed circuit boards, make sublimation keychains, and laser engrave nameplates. It was an amazing hands-on opportunity to see the incredible resources available to the next generation of engineers. ? We also appreciate ángel Cabrera for stopping by the Hive during the busy day!
