Last week, Hershey team members joined representatives from cocoa-producing and consuming countries, industry leaders, farmer organizations, and experts to discuss a more resilient future for the global cocoa supply chain at the World Cocoa Foundation Partnership Meeting in S?o Paulo, Brazil. ?? Sustainability is critical to the farmer, and it’s critical to businesses’ supply chains. Without successful farmers, food businesses would not have the ingredients they need to make the products consumers love. Without successful businesses, scalable investment in farmers and sustainable practices would not be possible. ?? Through Cocoa For Good, our sustainable cocoa strategy, we are making a $500 million investment, which we are busy putting to work. We have invested more than half of that to date in expanding our Income Accelerator to support living incomes for farmers, building schools where infrastructure is lacking, and protecting and conserving forests and biodiversity. ?? Our purpose is to Make More Moments of Goodness for our consumers. As an industry we must drive efficiency, resiliency and sustainability to ensure that people everywhere can continue to enjoy the affordable chocolate we love for decades to come. Partnerships and collaboration to produce the innovation and research needed to solve big challenges are more important than ever for our collective success. Thank you to World Cocoa Foundation for bringing us together and hosting this critical event. #WCFPM #ResilienceThroughSustainability #CocoaForGood
