As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to say THANK YOU to Lisa Robertson, who this week wrapped her tenure as a Community Health Worker at HBCAT. Lisa has dedicated much of her life to serving our most vulnerable populations, and we appreciate the three years she has spent serving as a member of our team. We are actively recruiting a new CHW to fill the big shoes Lisa has left behind. #hbcat #thankful #grateful #communityhealthworker #service?

We are proud and excited to introduce our new Start Up Support and Community Development Officer, Justin Miles! Here is a bit about Justin in his own words! “I was born and raised in Fort Scott, before going on to study Business Management and Marketing at Pittsburg State University, where I also started the Pitt State Entrepreneurship Society. I am currently serving as the Start Up Support and Community Development officer for HBCAT. My role here is to help current, local small businesses and potential start-up businesses gain access to local resources to help them grow and succeed. Part of this will be spearheading the HBCAT x?Rural Community Partners?'Mentorship Program'. This program will help local entrepreneurs start, run, or transition their own business by connecting them with a team of experienced professionals who have ‘been there, done that.’ I am looking forward to growing my knowledge and opening my own businesses within the area. Through my platform, I hope to enable people to take calculated risks, work hard for what they want, and chase their dreams.” You can contact Justin at [email protected]!
