Transforming the US health system from one that profits from sickness to one that invests in wellness.
关于我们
The Health Equity Collective is a growing community of predominantly BIPOC health and equity leaders from all walks of life who gathered together in 2020 to envision a future for health justice and address systems of oppression in health care. The Collective aims to transform the American health system from one that profits on sickness to one that invests in wellness. This program is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; the experience is stewarded by a co-leadership team of BIPOC equity leaders and the human-centered design non-profit, IDEO.org.

In 2020, we began working with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on a multi-year program to cultivate a new paradigm for American healthcare. Over the past few years, The Health Equity Collective emerged, crafting a bold vision for health justice and a system free from oppression and identity-based disparities. Together, they've explored what it might take to transform the U.S?healthcare system from one that profits from sickness into one that invests in health and well-being. The Collective has since incorporated into an independent 501(c)(3), established a bold non-hierarchical governance model, and evolved ideas into a suite of publicly accessible tools to inspire systemic change in healthcare nationwide. Learn more about this program and their work in our updated case study! #healthcare #healthandwellness #healthequity

Reimagining our health system to achieve true health justice requires a plethora of tools. A key instrument on that journey is The Health Equity Learning Library. The Learning Library is a resource collection curated by The Collective, featuring legendary leaders like Dr. Angela Davis, Dr. Uché Blackstock, and Cara Page aiming to equip individuals across the US with the knowledge to activate health equity. We are excited to announce that The Health Equity Learning Library has been given an Anthem Award. The Webby Awards presents The Anthem Awards in distinct categories to spotlight and celebrate purpose driven work. We are honored to have our platform recognized as a resource sparking global change. We are even more excited to continue to honor this award through our ongoing commitment to dismantling systemic health disparities. A special thank you to the Collective Member community of health leaders from 2020 onwards who have co-created, contributed to, and inspired the equity learning tools featured in the library, to our developer Emaad Ali for such wonderful work and to our visionary in all things creative and design – Collective Creative Officer, Erika Phillips. This award would not have been possible without all of their hard work.
