I’m never ashamed to admit when I don’t know something, whether it’s realizing what I didn’t know or questioning what I thought I knew. More importantly, I’m always committed to finding the answers so I can serve my clients ethically, honestly, and factually. Recently, I ventured into this space while exploring the opportunity to add cannabis processing to my portfolio. A few of my vendors offered it, but instead of just taking their word for it, I dug deeper to truly understand the landscape. It’s been an eye-opening journey. While I was familiar with banking concepts and “high-risk” processing, I discovered gaps in my knowledge—despite what some "trusted" advisors had led me to believe. Were they right? Ehhh… kinda. Were they wrong? Yes, but also, not entirely. That led me to explore the thin gray line of cashless cannabis transactions and, ultimately, to a solution that makes it black and white, secure, safer, transparent, and beneficial for all involved. I found this meme online (credit unknown), but it struck me! Similarly, one of the cores of my business isn’t original with electronic payment processing. But what is unique is how we do things. I’ve been a little quiet on social media (yes, I run it myself), but that’s because I’ve been busy doing what truly matters. Out in the field supporting my clients beyond the transaction. Promoting them, connecting them, lifting their brand at local events because their success is my success. Lately, we’ve run into price only comparison with larger companies, and the real question is: What makes us different and where truly is the value? Even if I came back with only a small savings (which is rare), wouldn’t you rather do business with someone who actively supports you? If you run a café, would you rather people buy from you or Starbucks? If you own a shop, would you prefer they buy from you or Amazon?
