?? Women's contributions should be highlighted all year long, not just on International Women's Day ?? Globally, women perform over three quarters of unpaid labour, much of which is the care work underpinning our societies. ?? ?? Our latest edition tackles women's invisible labor and reflecting on how we can be more aware of interconnecting forms of oppression ?? Plus, we compiled a list of intersectional feminist resources! ?? International Women's Day is over, but the work never bloody is. Here's some resources to sustain your intersectional, decolonial, feminism ????????? We need more than marches and stickers to dismantle interconnected forms of oppression ?? Feminism that doesn't address racism, ableism and the intersecting roles of identity and power will never lead to true liberation. We don’t seek to just insert more women into the current political system to replicate inequalities, we seek new political system/s rooted in decolonialism, democracy, and care ?? Today in The Green Fix we have an intro from Issy Pountney on the value of care, and a news roundup that decentres rich white men. Check it out ?? #IWD2025 #IntersectionalFeminism #GenderJustice #WomensRights #CareWork #Feminism #SocialJustice

Sure, we need to build offline communities - but what about the people who can only be activists online? ?? I get it. I quit X too. Looking for private and safe platforms run by corporations online is a paradox. ?? But for?people in geographically isolated areas, or dangerous political contexts, or?living with disabilities, the ability to connect through the internet is a lifeline. And how many of us reading this were first exposed to ideas outside of our bubble by Tumblr, Reddit and Livejournal? (I know, what a throwback). Today in The Green Fix I talk about leaving Meta, and we feature Julia Pazos and Jill McArdle PhD from Beyond Fossil Fuels on their new report showing how the energy cost of AI risks undermining the EU's climate goals ?? ?? Now, I don’t think anyone should feel obliged to stay on platforms that don’t serve them. By all means quit X, quit Meta, quit Google, quit ChatGPT - but quitting is part 1?We have to find new ways to use tech to connect, particularly with those who depend on the internet to organise. We have to disrupt the monopoly of big tech corporations doesn't happen just by disappearing, it happens by showing up, wherever we are able to. We were lucky enough to write something for the amazing Cass J Hebron at The Green Fix on our report findings (https://lnkd.in/eeiHpq2f) about how data centres growth in Europe could through the energy transition off course by increasing gas use or gobbling up all the renewables ?? ?? but also what we can do about it ? + how civil society is mobilising e.g. with the statement signed by 135+ groups on keeping AI within planetary boundaries (https://lnkd.in/eQNmpssR) ??
