Alexander Nicholson operates on the principles of The Great Game of Business, a management system that helps organizations grow and succeed. GGOB encourages open communication, employee involvement, and financial literacy for everyone. We want everyone on our team to understand how our business operates and to know that they are an essential part of our success. The Great Game of Business? is a growth system designed to build healthier companies, better businesses, and better lives. The Great Game of Business? isn’t about theory -- it’s about practice. The Great Game draws from the successes and failures of thousands of open-book management practitioners to show how any company can teach its employees: How to think and act like owners How to promote continuous learning at every level of the organization How to fire up employees’ competitive juices How to broaden the concept of leadership How to delegate responsibility for the business How to drive innovation and build value in the business How to improve financial results for the company and themselves People have applied the principles of The Great Game to an awesome array of businesses -- from oil companies to hair salons, from Internet start-ups to roller coaster manufacturers, from fast-food chains to law firms, landscapers, mining operations, even not-for-profit social service organizations. Few people know more about building a culture of ownership than SRC Holdings Corporation, where The Great Game of Business? was born. We’ve been working on one for the past 4 decades.

A coaching client testimonial…. "Implementing The Great Game of Business (GGOB) has been challenging due to the unique complexity of our business model and growth strategy. After initial attempts to apply GGOB strategies without full clarity, we returned to the foundation—mapping how our nine (and growing) divisions interconnect and impact overall profitability. Working with Brenda has been transformational. For the first time, we have complete clarity on who we are as a business and the confidence to scale with transparency. Now, we’re positioned to fully leverage GGOB systems, engaging our team with clear visibility and a shared stake in a more optimistic future." ?? Employee ownership isn’t just about shares—it’s about transformation. KEITH DIXON’s story is inspiring and rare. At The Great Game of Business, we’re lucky—we get to hear stories like his more often than most. And they never get old. At AMBAC International, Keith didn’t just get a stake in the business. He got something even more valuable: The education to think, act, and feel like an owner. By playing The Great Game of Business, AMBAC gives employees the tools to understand financials, make better decisions, and drive success at every level. Employee ownership works. But ownership education & empowerment? That’s where the real magic happens. Keith’s journey is proof. And we couldn’t be prouder to celebrate it. ???? ?? Read Keith’s story below Want to hear more? Join Robert Isherwood (CEO of AMBAC) and Kylie Jackson (GGOB) at the The National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO) Conference this April, where they’ll be sharing exactly how AMBAC takes employee ownership to the next level. #ESOP #EmployeeOwnership #GreatGameOfBusiness #OpenBookManagement #FinancialLiteracy #BusinessTransparency #NCEO2024
What an inspiring story on how employee ownership changes lives. We need many more KEITH DIXONs. Expanding ESOPs is committed to building an economy where every worker can be an owner like Keith.?#ESOPS

This month at The Legacy Network, our group focused on business and financial acumen — which honestly, many of us had to learn the hard way. Biz 417 created The Legacy Network to provide current and future leaders with practical tools, local expert guidance and a peer network they can lean on long after the sessions end. And we’re nearly there with this fantastic group! I’ve learned the most from mentors, leaders and business owners I’ve had the privilege of connecting with like Jack Stack and Brett Baker. Jack inspired the room with the origin story of creating the Great Game of Business. I can attest to the power of using GGOB as an operating system, since we’ve been GGOB practitioners at 417 since 2019. In his talk on the Art of Negotiation, Brett flipped the script and really focused more on the strength of our identity being the biggest indicator for success when negotiating and finding a solution that works for all parties.? Our final session next month will tie it all together with a focus on creating and executing a plan, the linchpin that will enable our cohort to go forth and lead with brave new ideas. It’s truly a novel program and I encourage anyone thinking about a more secure future to apply for our next cohort before May 15. #Biz417 #LegacyNetwork417 #LeadershipDevelopment
