This weekend, The Grail is hosting young women for a workshop retreat packed with activities and topics around women for peace, justice, and renewal of the earth! They’ll engage in meaningful conversations with women from the International Grail and local Grail members, tour impactful sites like the Harriet Beecher Stowe House and LIFE Food Pantry, and spend time reflecting, sharing, and envisioning their future impact. We’re thrilled to have great minds coming together at The Grail headquarters from around the country! #ByWomenForWomen #GirlsRule #CatalystsForChange #InvisibleWork #Grail80th #Celebrating80Year

Know any young women interested in learning to become a leader in their community? The Grail is launching a school-year Crew program starting this Spring! It's designed to help young women (high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors) develop leadership skills, build confidence, sharpen their problem-solving abilities, and explore what it truly means to be a female leader in their community. The program consists of virtual education sessions and in-person Saturday project days running mid-January through mid-April, 2025. Participants must commit to 15 hours during the Spring session and will receive a $225 stipend at the end to ensure there are no economic barriers to participation. Space is limited. This year, five amazing young women from our Crew program embarked on a self-directed internship projects, guided by the incredible Mary Lu and Terrie! This unique opportunity included a curriculum coupled with an independent study project and were open only to our college students who had already spent at least one summer working with Crew. From exploring bird diversity at our Loveland Center to developing creative ways to engage the public (spoiler alert: one project involved a video game!), these young leaders have taken on topics that inspire and challenge. Stay tuned to learn more about each of their incredible projects!

Stop by the Grail's Center at Grailville for our Art of the Oratory Exhibit: Hope for the Flowers featuring author, artist, and Grail member Trina Paulus open for Ohio Open Doors. This gallery exhibit displays significant panels from the beloved ""Hope for the Flowers" book by Trina Paulus. “Hope for the Flowers” is a story about Stripe and Yellow, two caterpillars who have traveled into well over 4 million hearts around the world. These Little caterpillars crossed boundaries of culture, language, religion, age, with their challenge and hope that a loving world is possible. “Hope For The Flowers” is asking us all to embrace what they discovered: RADICAL SHARING - FREELY CHOSEN. Both parts are essential. By risking the butterfly, we can fly and carry the love of one flower to another and discover the sweet nectar of every flower we are privileged to meet. The Exhibit will also be open by appointment between Sept. 15 and the Closing weekend event on Oct. 27.

Exciting news! The Grail's Loveland Center, Grailville just passed the Ohio Ecological Farm & Food Association inspection! Did you know Grailville continues to certify 42 of our 70 acres as organic? Instead of traditional gardens, our Land Manager Mary Lu has been cultivating a food forest with apples, black walnuts, pawpaws, chestnuts, and more. This sustainable approach provides a healthy diet while nurturing a diverse ecosystem. If you walk along our trails, you can see the young food forest trees!
