Celebrating Sisterhood Among Military Spouses Allow me to introduce Christine, a mother, wife, and one of my closest companions. She was one of the first military spouses I met when I moved to the United States. Together, we have undergone the challenges of deployments, childbirth, and the loss of loved ones. We have consistently supported each other through thick and thin. As military spouses, we understand that the journey may be the same, but our experiences are unique. I consider myself fortunate to have such an amazing support system in my life. Here's to all the wonderful mil spouse friends out there – thank you for being the backbone of our military families. Today, the California Department of Consumer Affairs launched a new process and portal in support of servicemembers and their families following new federal and state laws this year. Known as the?Federal Professional License Portability and State Registration portal, this new DCA online portal will allow boards and bureaus to accept online requests from military servicemembers and their spouses who currently hold a valid license in good standing in another state, district, or territory to register their practice in California within the same profession or vocation if they relocate to California because of military orders. ?
