Migrant and immigrants' rights are human rights! While successive U.S. presidents have sought to deny or undermine migrant and immigrants' rights for years, international law is clear that ALL persons have inherent rights simply for existing as human beings. Human Rights City Alliance wishes to thank everyone who joined us at our Immigrant Rights Community Forum to uplift immigrant voices and experiences relating to the rights to education, employment, housing, freedom of expression, and more. We are especially grateful to our panelists and our panel moderator for sharing their stories, perspectives, and expertise. Stay tuned for additional community forums and opportunities to get involved as we prepare to create a civil society report on local human rights conditions, which will be submitted to the UN as part of the 2025 Universal Periodic Review. You can also learn more about migration & human rights at ohchr.org/en/migration.

As a champion of refugee and immigrant youth, Jenna Baron noticed an important gap. Parents and caregivers new to the US did not have a full understanding of their family's rights in the education system. As co-chair of All for All's Education Subcommittee Jenna helped develop the Education Rights Trainings, making sure to recruit the right voices to the planning table. Thanks for being an amazing part of team, Jenna!
