Thank you, thank you, thank you for an amazing Red Jacket Optional 2024! What a night! Our annual gala, Red Jacket Optional raised over $2 million thanks to our unbelievable community of supporters. This money will make a direct impact on the lives of thousands of Chicago youth, keeping our youth empowerment and music education programs accessible and equitable, and making sure the transformative power of music is accessible to all who want it. We are honored to host such a meaningful event with the Chicago Bears. It was a privilege to be part of an evening that celebrates the incredible work of BUILD Chicago and the positive impact they have on our community ??
Each year BUILD Chicago helps more than 3,200 West Side Chicago youth and families build hope, lives, and futures—disrupting the pipeline of gun violence in our city. With services like gang intervention and mental health care, out-of-school camps and college counseling, studio art and sports—they help youth develop the skills and support network they need to overcome barriers, survive, and thrive. This year, Build once again celebrated these incredible young people, and the power of investing in peace at Build’s annual gala. The Chicago Bears were honored to be acknowledged as the Corporate Community BUILDer honoree. George H. McCaskey was humbled to accept the award presented by Adam M. Alonso on behalf of the work and contributions of the Chicago Bears.

WOW! Last night, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School celebrated ?VIVA! 2024 and it was a huge win. With 480 folks in the room, we raised 20% more than our goal amount and our honorees and student speakers captured the audience. Thank you to all those who committed their support and made an impact! So grateful for my incredible leaders Morgan Collier and Antonio Ortiz, our Advancement team of Jennifer Sirota, Cindy Day Erwin, Dawn Zamora, Diana Medina, our Board and host committee.
