While she experienced hardship being bred year after year for the beef industry, since she's come to The Gentle Barn, she's gotten to relax, be pampered, and enjoy all the best parts of life. PROGRESS: Thanks to urgent and now around-the-clock care and support, our newly rescued baby goat Bria is starting to walk on her front legs with assistance from splints! She has a long way to go, and we're not out of the woods yet, but this is a momentous first step ?? Bria was suffering terribly at a backyard farm before someone found her and brought her to our attention. Since she came to us, she's been getting physical therapy three times a day with the splints and other stretching treatments, along with massage therapy, weekly chiropractic care, acupuncture, cold laser, and red light therapy. Along with healthy, organic hay, she's getting daily vitamins including Sun Chlorella USA Corp., and her anti-inflammatory medication and pain medication while she works to gain the use of her front legs after crawling on them for an unknown amount of time. We're also in the process of purchasing her a wheelchair so she can be in the braces even longer to help her heal. We need your ongoing support to help us so we can continue to rescue, rehabilitate and heal animals with disabilities like Bria and help them live long, happy lives in sanctuary after experiencing untold trauma. From a testing facility to a new member of the family, Tina has joined the herd at The Gentle Barn #California! ?? She was alone in a box for months and now she has a barnyard full of friends who know what she's been through ?? After rest, recovery, and veterinary attention at our Sun Chlorella USA Corp. Healing Center, baby goat Tina made the move to our main property. Her quarantine roommate—our other recently rescued goat Bria—still needs more medical attention to walk on her front legs, so Bria moved to the office for now, but we're taking her out daily in a wagon to see Tina and meet the other animals! This meant baby Tina entered the barnyard alone, but thankfully our gentleman senior goat Bolt took a shine to her and now they share a room at night as Tina happily settles into her new life It's been a week of firsts for this playful goat, and we're so excited to watch her progress as she enjoys healthy foods, structures to climb on, budding friendships, relaxing naps in the sunshine, and all the love that every animal deserves ?? #animalrescue #goats #animaltesting #crueltyfree #nonprofit #sanctuary

UPDATE: Newly rescued baby goats Bria and Tina are both starting their new lives in sanctuary—and making progress—but have a long road of ahead of them. The Gentle Barn rescued Bria, who cannot yet walk on her front legs, from a backyard farm, and Tina from a testing facility. They're in quarantine together at our Sun Chlorella USA Corp. Healing Center in their own stalls but they can see and call to each other. They've got specific, unique needs but both baby goats are responding well to treatment, love, and attention from founders Ellie Laks and Jay Weiner, volunteers, and staff. Tina is already full of life and energy, running zoomies around her stall and hopping up on the chair we put in for volunteers to read to her. Bria has more severe needs and will need more time and care to heal. Along with ongoing vet visits, tests, and upcoming X-rays, Bria is getting her legs stretched three times a day, massage therapy every other day, and just had her first acupuncture session. Her appetite has been improving and she's eating fresh, organic hay. She's also started accepting pets and love from us after coming in terrified!
