Created in 2020 to honor the company’s 125th anniversary, its award amount coincides with the number of years Garland has been in business. This year’s scholarship amount is $12,900 and will help defray expenses related to Jolliffe’s pursuit of a degree in Construction Management at The University of Akron. The roof replacement of Downtown Colorado Springs’ Keymark performance venue, and home of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra, required expedited design, coordination and management by The Garland Company and ensuring protection from environmental challenges ranging from high UV index to severe hail—while working around the Center’s weekly production and event schedule and not disrupting load in, sound check or performance times.
