The Garden School of Marietta

Rooted in Waldorf traditions, in a forest school setting, The Garden School is a young nature-immersive private school in Marietta GA offering children in kindergarten and grade school a high quality education that takes place largely outside, in the woods, wetlands, and vegetable gardens (complete with chickens, goats, and miniature donkey). The focus of our world is the development of the whole human being. To further this aim, we strive to provide a beautiful, cohesive enrichment program that radiates learning, working, and playing. Creativity and artistic expression are essential in a child's healthy growth and development, and are fully integrated into our curriculum. We seek and embrace diversity in our community. We believe that the education of students, teachers and parents is a lifelong process. We preserve the innocence and wonder of childhood through security and freedom; allowing children to move, explore, create, and play within a safe and predictable environment and rhythm.
