Today is the 124th anniversary of the birth (10/10/10, as he always reminded people!) of the famed architectural photographer Julius Shulman. Did you know that he photographed a Greene & Greene house? When the James Culbertson house was remodeled (a subject for another time!) by Whitney Smith to a smaller, modernist house in the 1950s, Shulman was called in to document the house before and after its transformation.
