    Everyone Says "A Community That Gets It." But What Is "It," Exactly? Lately, I’ve seen a lot of spaces claiming to be “a community that gets it.” And every time, I think: Gets what? Because no one actually says. So let's be clear. Here’s what The Future Focused Admin "gets": That administrative professionals are not just support staff. We’re strategists, problem-solvers, and the glue that holds teams together. That career stability in 2025 isn’t about loyalty to a company; it’s about having options; whether that means upskilling, pivoting, or going solo. That burnout isn’t a personal failure. It’s the natural result of an industry that expects more for less. And we’re done pretending it’s sustainable. That AI isn’t here to replace us but we need to know how to use it before someone decides they don’t need to keep us. The Future Focused Admin isn’t just a place to vent (though we do that, too).     I am loud because they fought to be heard. I take up space because they refused to be erased. I speak without fear because they risked everything to make sure I could. International Women’s Day isn’t just about celebrating where we are. It’s about recognizing the ones who got us here. The ones who were told to be quiet and spoke anyway. The ones who were punished for being “too ambitious” and kept going. The ones who didn’t live to see the change they fought for, but pushed forward anyway. I get to be vocal, bold, and unapologetic because of them. So today, I don’t just celebrate women. I honor the work, the sacrifice, and the sheer force of will that made my voice possible. The lack of formal education and structured training in our roles means that many of us just “figure it out”. So what’s the solution? Workflows!
