?????????Middle School: Science Exchange in San Diego At the French American Academy, our middle school students can choose from various electives, including a year-long course called Coast to Coast. This elective focuses on leadership and research and is intricately linked to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. What sets this elective apart is a unique student exchange program between our school and the San Diego French-American School (SDFAS). This week, our students spent 4 days in San Diego collaborating on hands-on fieldwork, classroom research, and cultural immersion. Exchange Program Highlights Included: ??Day 1: Welcomed by host families with lunch at La Jolla Beach, enjoying fresh air and community bonding. ??Day 2: Tour of SDFAS, lab work on freshwater topics, a visit to UC San Diego’s Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and field research at San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve. ??Day 3: Water sampling at Mission Bay Aquatic Center, followed by kayaking and aquatic-themed team-building activities. ??Day 4: Back in the classrooms for final work and reflections before returning home to New Jersey. We're excited to host San Diego French-American School students in May, continuing to build connections and deepen our understanding of local and global environmental challenges. This exchange program is more than travel, it fosters leadership, encourages teamwork across distances, and helps students understand how local challenges relate to global issues.

We are excited to introduce a new venture at the French American Academy! The launch of our High School has sparked fresh ideas and new opportunities, leading to the creation of our very own entrepreneurship program: SparkLab. To kick things off, we’re hosting a one-week entrepreneurial boot camp from July 7 to 11 at our brand-new Heights campus. This immersive experience is open to students in grades 7 through 12 and will ignite creativity, leadership, problem-solving, and business skills in a hands-on, dynamic environment.
