Introducing the Hamilton Collections Gallery, our first ever public showcase of two centuries of scientific breakthroughs and innovations. At the heart of the exhibit and surrounding over 500 artifacts, the 350-ton Baldwin 60000 Locomotive sits atop a new custom cutaway floor that reveals the steel and concrete bridge structures supporting this engineering marvel. Dive deep into the innovation and ingenuity of objects and discover unexpected connections between treasures such as Benjamin Franklin’s Glass Armonica, Thomas Edison’s light bulbs, and wing models from the Wright Brothers Aeronautic Collection. The Franklin Institute’s newest core exhibit, Hamilton Collections Gallery, opens to the public on Saturday, November 23.
