The Food Corridor

This year, we had a great time at the Shared Kitchen Summit in New Orleans. I made some great friends, and we can't wait to download everything that we learned, we look forward to next year. I made friends that I will have for the rest of my life. I highly recommend attending the Shared Kitchen Summit to connect with everyone in the same field. A lot of times you can feel like you are alone, but this conference brings everyone together to not only share our experience but to celebrate our accomplishments. We need to be here to lift each other up so that we can grow as a network of experts in our fields. Thanks to food corridor for noticing that we need support and creating a Summit to bring us together.

I'm still on a high from last week's trip to New Orleans. The Food Corridor's Shared Kitchen Summit is a must attend event for shared kitchen and food incubator operators. Exciting News from Fort Scott, Kansas! The Kitchen C & C Inc has been awarded $385,529.11 to launch The Kitchen Collective + Collaborative – an innovative incubator space designed for underserved rural producers and entrepreneurs! About the Project: The Kitchen Collective + Collaborative is setting up four fully licensed commercial kitchens, addressing a critical gap in Southeast Kansas’ food system by providing essential food processing and production resources. This shared facility will empower local producers by offering: · A platform for networking, mentorship, and partnerships · Cold storage to extend shelf life · State-of-the-art commercial-grade equipment for large-batch production This project will enable producers to scale operations, create value-added products, and diversify revenue streams while meeting regulatory standards. Partnering with the Kansas Department of Agriculture, The Kitchen aims to strengthen the food supply chain and boost resilience in rural communities. Our dev team couldn't attend the Shared Kitchen Summit this year, so we had a book at our table where our clients could leave them a note. Needless to say, our users are so grateful for?The Food Corridor?platform and all the time it saves them. After talking with so many, I get the sense everyone who attended the Shared Kitchen Summit - got what they needed from it. Whether that was recognition, community, closure, inspiration, help, a break, validation, celebration, friendship - the list goes on - but it was really a magical event and feels pivotal to me. At that point, it’s distributed to its restaurants, which finish the food with — in Lore’s terminology — “lightly trained labor” using only a hot water bath, a rapid-cook oven, or a fryer.”
