The Connecting & Scaling Food Entrepreneurs team is offering grant funding between $20,000–$35,000 to help YOU expand capacity, improve efficiency, and better support your community of food entrepreneurs. ?? What’s on the table? Eligible shared-use kitchens, food hubs, and food processing facilities can use grant funds for: ? Buying or leasing essential kitchen equipment (think refrigerators, ovens, mixers, and more!) ? Upgrading infrastructure (walk-in freezers, flooring, electrical systems) ? Enhancing business operations with software for inventory or sales management ? Supporting food safety certifications and advanced manufacturing services ? Act fast! Applications are due April 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM (MT) – no exceptions. With $300,000 in total funding, this program will award between 8 to 15 grants. The USDA Wholesale Market and Facility Design team provides architectural technical assistance and support for the construction of new structures or the remodeling of existing ones. These facilities include wholesale markets, farmers markets, public markets, shared-use kitchens, food hubs, and many more food-related structures, all of which are important parts of the national food distribution network.
