This report is full of interesting facts & figures, but we are especially proud of these four accomplishments this year: ?? We staged memorably diverse performances from “A” (Ali Siddiq) to “Z” (ZZ Top) that attracted record attendance. ??? It was the Florida Theatre’s busiest year since 2007, with 209 performances taking the Florida Theatre stage. That also qualified as the fourth busiest year ever. ?? Over 200,000 were served, the third most ever in a single year, and the most in a single year since 1997. ?? The latest phase of the ongoing renovation of the Florida Theatre concluded with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Deegan on October 27, 2023. "Whether you came to see Don’s favorite show (Lords of 52nd Street) or Numa’s favorite show (The Flaming Lips) this year, or something completely different, we value your support as a ticket buyer, and maybe even as a donor. This building is literally a national treasure, and we thank you for your continuing support of it as a ticket buyer and maybe as a donor too. With your continued support, we will keep up the record pace of bookings, and we will keep improving the building to make the artist and audience experience as good as any venue anywhere." The Florida Theatre was honored to host the 2024 Florida Arts and Culture Awards last night. ?? Congratulations to all honorees, including rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, funk legend George Clinton, and artists Roger Bansemer and Xavier Cortada. These individuals have all made significant contributions to the arts in Florida, and we were proud to host their inductions into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame on our stage.

Every once in a while, my job is actually as cool as people think it is. Last night, we watched Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd induct Lynyrd Skynyrd and #GeorgeClinton (yes, P-Funk George Clinton!) into the Florida Artist Hall of Fame, right on The Florida Theatre stage.
