Nov 21, 2024 is recognized as Children's Grief Awareness Day. This day aims to increase our understanding of the needs of grieving children and the positive impact of support from others. It serves as a reminder to ensure grieving children get the care and assistance they deserve. On Children's Grief Awareness Day, we stand together to support and uplift young hearts experiencing loss. The second way we are growing is through renovations at a second Drop-In Center dedicated to supporting survivors of human trafficking. Located directly across the street from Project GOLD - our established Drop-In Center that has been serving girls and young women affected by commercial sexual exploitation for the past decade - the newly acquired site will provide more space for the full array of services offered. This week FNCAC hosted our In Person Annual Membership Meeting where Exec Directors and leaders from Children's Advocacy Centers across the state of Florida came together to engage in meaningful discussions.
