关于我们
The Financial Diet (TFD) is the premier destination for women to learn and talk about money. With a highly-engaged community on YouTube, web, newsletter, podcast and social media, we are leading a conversation with millions of women every day. Started in late 2014 as writer Chelsea Fagan’s personal budget Tumblr, TFD has since grown into a powerful community where young women come to be honest about money. We are narrative, community-oriented, and driven by stories — not boring tips on how to become a millionaire by 30 (because you probably won’t). We are the brand that combines strong voices, beautiful visuals, and hard truths to make money talk something everyone can be a part of, no matter where they’re starting from. We provide useful facts and expert advice, but we know that’s not why readers come back every day, or why thousands of young women come to us to share their finance stories for the first time. Money is human, and when you talk about it right, just as interesting as sex or dating. (If not more so.)

"Our work at TFD has always existed at the nexus of personal finance and class. I'm heartened by the growth we have seen this year, especially given our pretty outspoken political leanings. We've added over a hundred thousand new YouTube subscribers, doubled our?memberships, and our video essay series which deep dives into some of our most pressing economic topics reach?huge audiences every month. We're not the biggest shop on the block, but we are speaking to a nearly entirely female audience about money in a way few other outlets do, and we don't have to sacrifice our values to do it. And in many ways, I think the most important thing any of us can do in this next year lives at that exact same nexus between the personal and political. We have to shore up and protect our own finances as women, now more than ever." — An excerpt from An Open Letter From Chelsea, from today's TFD newsletter: https://lnkd.in/eHzFpHq7

We’re featured in TIME! “But the fact that women may think differently about money doesn’t mean they’re worse at it. In fact, Fagan, 35, set out to dismantle the idea that personal finance is a byzantine concept, and today, The Financial Diet uses various forms of media, from books like its upcoming Beyond Getting By to explainer and confessional videos on YouTube, to demystify money. “The entire concept that money is complicated and difficult to understand is part of the problem, because it’s not,” she says. “It doesn’t require some special knowledge or understanding. Anyone can manage money.””
