Yesterday, Neil Chatterjee, former Commissioner of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, kicked off the afternoon at The Fertilizer Institute’s Market & Logistics Conference, discussing FERC operations, U.S. natural gas exports, clean energy trends, AI's energy demands, and the critical role of reliable, affordable energy for industries like fertilizer. We were thrilled to have Mason Roberts, from MTR Farms, and Grant Strom from Strom Family Farms, join TFI President & CEO Corey Rosenbusch to share a farmer’s perspective on biostimulants, regenerative farming, efficiency, and the vital farmer-retailer relationship. As Mason noted, “We take care of it today so we can use it tomorrow.” The Freight's Future panel, led by TFI’s Tom Lynch, explored how railways, waterways, and highways are managing disruptions like strikes and natural disasters while ensuring production stays on track. Thanks to Jen Armstrong, Randy Strutz, Arthur L. Adams Jr., and Casey Albright for their insights. The day wrapped with a discussion on the shifting trade landscape. TFI’s Senior Economist Veronica Nigh, Charlie Mourning, and Nick Adamchak highlighted how businesses are navigating global market changes, politics, and freight challenges. Tuesday closed out with a networking reception, sponsored by GATX, for attendees to continue to make and foster relationships with their industry colleagues. #TFI #MarketLogistics
