Presenting Issue 3 of The Fashion Show Newsletter! ?

What has the Alumni Relations Committee been working on? ?? ?? As The Fashion Show production is ramping up, our Alumni Relations Committee has been hard at work! We have officially booked all of our judges for the show and cannot wait to host them for judges weekend coming very soon! We are also counting down the days to our Alumni Event which takes place before The Fashion Show on April 12th! A theme has been established for this event and we are currently working on creating and sourcing the design elements. It has been a very busy, but fun few weeks as we get closer to show time, and we’re looking forward to seeing everything come together!

TFS Committee Highlight: Special Event Committee ? They plan 4 events for The Fashion Show 2025 including the Launch Party, Meet The Judges, a Fashion Week event, and Fashion’s Night Out! They just hosted the Launch Party and released The Fashion Show 2025 merch! Now they are working on their Meet The Judges event and towards their Fashion Week event! This is our Special Events Committee at the Launch Party!

Sadie Besch, a Class of 2024 graduate from Iowa State University, was one of the outreach producers for The Fashion Show 2024. After graduating in May, she moved to Boston to begin her career at TJX Companies as an Allocation Analyst in the TJ Maxx handbag department. Sadie has been loving her job and shares that she has “learned so much about the Planning and Allocation side of Merchandising.” She’s excited to return to campus for The Fashion Show 2025 to see all the incredible work the Producers, Directors, and Committee Members have put together!

Our Model Management Committee has been hard at work, shaping the runway experience for “Dreamscape” The Fashion Show 2025 at Iowa State University! Every Sunday evening, the Model Management committee has been meeting with our models, perfecting walks, and building confidence as we count down to April 12!! From posture to presence, The Model Management team ensures every model is ready to own the stage. We hope to see you on April 12th?at?CY Stephens Auditorium!

The Behind-the-Scenes committee is gearing up to give prospective students an inside look at the world of Fashion Design and Merchandising at Iowa State this spring. On April 11, 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to experience what it’s?like to be a Fashion Design and Merchandising student. The committee is focused on promoting registration and recruiting volunteers to assist on the day of the event.?They are also finalizing?a variety of workshops to showcase?the student experience at Iowa State. One of the BTS directors, Alejandra Palou, has loved collaborating with her amazing committee, enjoying the planning process, and finding positivity in every moment.?
