The Fashion Event at Auburn University

The CADS - AMDA Fashion Event will hold a volunteer interest meeting on February 27th at 5:30 PM in Spidle 220. Attendance is mandatory for anyone planning to volunteer for the event. I encourage you to participate if you want to be more involved! Additionally, please note that volunteering for the event is a prerequisite for applying to The Fashion Event planning class next year.

We’re excited to highlight the incredible work of Katie Beth Boston, who recently completed an outstanding jacket design project! She explains "For this project I was tasked to create a lined jacket with pocket(s), sleeves, and a collar. The Jacket is constructed with a medium weight wool fabric and has a hidden welt pocket on the inner lining of the right side of the jacket. The jacket features long sleeves, a dramatic collar, and the hem comes to a curve to echo the curve of the collar. This project covered production techniques for interfacing and construction, enhancing my skills in many areas." This project demonstrates not only Katie Beth's creativity but also her dedication to refining her craft and pushing the boundaries of apparel design.
