关于我们
The new wave of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs 2.0). The ERG Movement is more than a community, a model, or a podcast. It's a movement for authenticity in the workplace. It's a movement for employee belonging programs that are sustainable and mutually beneficial to the company AND to the employees. It's a movement for integrity within the ERG space - ERG programs that operate on data and structure. The ERG Movement helps ERG leaders and program managers build impactful, sustainable ERG programs by applying business development principles. It offers tools, resources, and structured frameworks like the 3P Framework and ERG Movement Model, focusing on real-world strategies, not hypotheticals. Through community support, like the ERG Champs network, and programs like the 90-Day Fresh Start, it empowers leaders to streamline their work, drive engagement, and create meaningful change. The ERG Movement emphasizes practical solutions—making ERGs easier and more effective—while fostering collaboration among leaders across industries.

Yesterday was National ERG Day (I know ?? there are so many made up days but I love this one!)?I’d be remiss not to celebrate the eight amazing groups we have here at 1Password. Around this time last year, we recognized an opportunity to broaden our ERG model, so we created a space for more diverse voices through launching Employee Community Groups (ECGs). While our ERGs focus on learning and development, and offer opportunities for growth to their members, our ECGs are a place to foster connection, build community and help raise cultural awareness. Together, they help support the needs of our global communities. This year alone, these groups have hosted over 30 impactful events that bring us together, empowered members through professional development, organized volunteer days,?and offered necessary and meaningful safe spaces. Through our ERG/ECG referral program, they’ve helped us bring many new 'Bits to our team! They've also extended our impact globally by supporting underrepresented communities through charitable donations. ?? Anyone who knows me knows that managing these groups is one of my favorite parts of being a DEIB leader. We’ve worked passionately to ensure all of our communities feel seen and supported—not just in celebratory moments, like heritage months, but also through the challenging moments we’ve faced throughout the year. I’m so grateful for each of the 47 leaders across these groups! This week we’ll continue to support our ERG/ECG efforts by hosting a strategic planning session with none other than the ERG Homegirl herself, Maceo Owens. Her insights will guide us as we plan for 2025, helping our groups continue to evolve and elevate this important work. Please take a moment today to thank an ERG/ECG leader—they’re making a real difference every day! ??

Transformative HR & DEI Executive | Champion for Inclusive Cultures | Building High-Impact, Data-Driven Talent Strategies
I’m still beaming from yesterday!????This week, we hosted our Employee Resource Group (ERG) Summit in Menlo Park, and it was an inspiring day. We started by volunteering at the Ecumenical Hunger Program, packing meals for families in need—a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together. Next, we focused on building our ERG strategies during a workshop led by my favorite person Maceo Owens, who encouraged us to think big and drive meaningful change. We ended the day with a team dinner, celebrating the collaboration, courage, and dedication of our ERG leaders. I’m most proud of this incredible group of leaders for embracing change and staying so committed to creating moments of inclusion and belonging at GRAIL. It’s not an easy task, but they do it with so much heart and dedication. Their work is a reflection of our shared values and a commitment that extends beyond our patients and customers to our employees as well. Here’s to continuing this important work and driving progress in the year ahead! On November 19 and 20, the North America Alstom Women of Excellence (AWE) Leadership Workshop took place in Pittsburgh, uniting leaders dedicated to fostering a workplace where women thrive. The workshop opened with a welcome from Mark Gruber PE, Site Managing Director & Head of Development Center Americas, and Jason Davis, Facilities Manager, who shared Alstom’s rich history in the Steel City and emphasized the importance of safety. I had the honor of giving my first welcome speech as the new North America Chair of AWE—this workshop marking my first major accomplishment in this role—hopefully worthy of our founder, Sabra Huffman. Acknowledging our transition, I stated, “Regardless of how you're feeling about this change—you’re in the right place. This is our moment to redefine our potential and explore new pathways for success.” We then held roundtable introductions, with 90% of attendees stepping into AWE leadership roles for the first time—a truly vibrant community! Kari Ann Versace & Nikole Berry MS, BB led a strengths-based leadership training, empowering participants to recognize and leverage their unique strengths, allowing us to work more effectively as a team. Discussions with Chanda A. Hand, MBA, SHRM-SCP and our executive sponsors Tania Fauchon & Frederic MICHEL offered insights into Alstom’s DE&I strategy and AWE’s role. Day 2 kicked off with Maceo Owens, CEO of The ERG Movement, providing tools to create effective ERGs, introducing her 3Ps framework - 1. Focus on the Purpose: Ensure everyone understands the ERG's purpose. 2. Set up the Process: Strong processes facilitate organization and program execution. 3. Boost the Programming: Engaging programs reflecting the ERG's purpose inspire members. After lunch, we developed Committee and Chapter Leaders’ action plans, reviewing alignment with Alstom’s strategy and the AWE Charter. The workshop concluded with a lab tour by Gregory Speir, showcasing our integration and factory acceptance testing. Thank you to all who supported and guided us in planning this event, especially my right-hand deputy Anca Foia, Nikole Berry MS, BB, Mark Gruber PE, Amy Lucot, Michael Keroullé & Kari Ann Versace - who in addition to providing Strengths Based Leadership - provided many pep talks to yours truly that were crucial in making this workshop happen. As we move forward, it is essential for AWE to focus on its purpose and processes before event planning to ensure impactful execution - align with the AWE mission and Alstom’s strategy for closing the gender gap. We must also hold Alstom accountable for any inequities and advocate for ourselves and those without a voice in the room. Regular communication is vital for member engagement, and AWE Leaders benefit from a strong support network to navigate their leadership journeys confidently. We left with a plan and must now put it into action. We got this! ?? #AWEWorkshop2024Pgh #AWEPgh2024 #AlstomWomenOfExcellence #TeamAlstom #DEI #ClosingTheGenderGap

This event was the highlight of my week! Thank you Maceo Owens for the changing the game for ERGs.
?? What an incredible event! ?? Last week in Houston, we hosted something truly groundbreaking—a first-of-its-kind ERG workshop and hackathon, centered on a specific affinity: Black ERG leaders. ?? Why was this so special? ?? ?? It was one of the (if not THE) largest gatherings ever of Black ERG leaders. ?? Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Black ERGs..the first ERG ?? The focus? Education and empowerment for Black ERGs. ?? We dove deep into understanding ERGs at their core: community?? ?? We explored the tangible business ROI that comes from strong, intentional communities. ?? And we introduced a fun new way to think about creating your community container. ???? Thank you to the incredible ERG Champs who showed up and showed out! ???? and of course a HUGE thank you to Intuit for sponsoring this incredible event.?????? This was one of our largest in-person events yet, and it’s just the beginning. We’re leaning into more affinity-specific moments and opportunities to dig into areas for improvement, and we can’t wait to bring even more of these experiences to life. ?? Stay tuned! ?? Next week, we’ll share some exciting updates for our community and the 2025 tour. Plus, you’ll be the voting factor for the winner of the hackathon, so keep your eyes peeled for the voting announcement. ??? #TheERGMovement #BlackERG #CommunityMatters #ERGChamps Maceo Owens Kara Solomon Alexa Flagg Quanice Thomas Jasmine Haugabrook Ashley Rhodes Evonne Bennett Brown, Esq. In-person collaboration brought out the best of our ERG communities! We brought together two ERGs at our Whitestone HQ for an energetic office takeover! From an insightful presentation by Maceo Owens on boosting ERG engagement to Rachel Wallins leading Career Development Conversations with DiSC, the two days were filled with inspiration, collaboration, and growth. We're proud to foster meaningful connections across generations and cultures that drive our inclusive company culture forward.
