It’s been a week since we left Denver after spending time with our new cohort of Nexus Fellows. We’re still feeling the energy, brilliance and compassion of these outstanding leaders and can’t wait to see what they do in the year ahead!

In this election the stakes are high and the future of democracy is on the line. But things feel a little different this time around. There’s a powerful grassroots movement taking place that’s influencing the 2024 Election—one led by a strategy we’ve been using at The Equity Lab for years to help catalyze multi-racial coalition–affinity groups. By harnessing the power of collective identity, they aren’t just mobilizing—affinity groups are redefining modern civic engagement, and have become the unsung MVP of the election.
