How do you change systems that were built to stay the same? The Seeding Disruption Fellowship was born from this question—creating space for leaders to tackle systemic inequities together. In 2017, Washington, D.C. was continuing to grapple with stark racial disparities. Leaders across sectors were working tirelessly, but their efforts often collided with systemic barriers that perpetuated inequity. Seeding Disruption emerged to break through these walls, bringing senior leaders together to create collective, systemic solutions. What started in D.C. is now inspiring cities nationwide, proving that collaboration and trust can drive real change. There’s a powerful grassroots movement taking place that’s influencing the 2024 Election—one led by a strategy we’ve been using at The Equity Lab for years to help catalyze multi-racial coalition–affinity groups.
