My first official coachee got a job within 3 weeks of working together. Others have gotten jobs so quickly, I haven't even been able to start coaching them! I'm also the worst coach ever because when we talk I will tell you all the reasons you don't need a coach! You just need the knowledge we have to offer. That is how I run my practice, you'll see that I am working hard to make all of my knowledge and experience available to you, without taking up your valuable time and money. About me__________________________________________ I started my college career in photography and design, then one day I just up and changed my mind. I wanted to work outdoors, so I switched my degree to Biology and basically started over. During my college years, I received not a single piece of sincere or helpful career advice; everything focused on grades, nothing on what to do once I had my degree in hand. After graduation, I got a job that, in hindsight, was in the wrong sector for me and ultimately after 10 years I was still unable to answer the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Like me, many students I work with graduate extremely underprepared to find a fulfilling job in the field that they studied. I am now on a mission to ensure that students who choose environmental careers to get a head start, know what their options are, how to determine what they want and how to get it. Additionally, I am fortunate to be a person who will not stand for anything less than everything I deserve and I made a change. Others struggle for various reasons to acknowledge their unhappiness and do something about it. I want to help you too.

Losing a job can bring many emotions especially if you were told you weren't up to par in your performance. Being laid off due to major cuts from an employer can make you feel like a dark cloud is following you, but don't let it get you down, you are still a winner! Here are some things to think about: 1. If there was really a reason you were let go, maybe it wasn't because you underperformed, maybe it was a lack of communication and/or articulation between you and your employer. Maybe your employer didn't give you clear expectations to succeed, or maybe you are not the best at asking questions. 2. If you know what your weaknesses are in your skills, you can always get more training or a certification to become stronger. 3. Remember why you were hired at the job in the beginning, and the newly gained skills you achieved from the job, and how much more qualified you are now! 4. Ask a past colleague that you trust to list the things they thought you excelled in and the things you were lacking. Work on the things you were lacking. Use the colleague as a reference! 5. Be positive with new potential employers when they ask about why you are in the job market. Remember that you don't have to offer up that you were laid off unless they specifically ask, and instead you can say because you are looking for new skills or a new challenge adding specifics relating to the position. 6. Some employers just want to make cuts and are looking for any excuse to do that, and it may have been inevitable. Why is data analytics a growing field? Not only is it growing in general but it's growing in the environmental sector as well! Why you ask? For many reasons including advancement in AI, cloud computing, IoT (Internet of Things), but also allowing businesses to make better decisions and to react and adapt faster. It is used as a more meaningful way to find trends, identify things that aren't working, optimize processes, and stay ahead. Types of analytics: Machine learning is the assessment of "what if" scenarios descriptive describes the "what" diagnostic analytics is being able to find "why" something is happening. forecasting is "what might" happen prescriptive is action taken An example for how data analytics is used in the environmental sector in air pollution, could be: reducing emissions, tracking and predicting effects, and implementing solutions.
