The 2025 EnGen cohort gathered in Denver and Golden, Colorado last week for an exciting and thought provoking 2-day seminar. The seminar focused on learning about different energy sectors and discussing where there are opportunities to work collaboratively across sectors. The cohort heard from some of the industry's most thoughtful and creative leaders and started building a strong network! Thank you to our partners for this seminar - Colorado School of Mines, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and CU Denver J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities and Energy Management at CU Denver. #energyleadership #leadership #EnGen2025

From engaging with top industry leaders to gaining insights into the complex world of energy beyond electricity, I've emerged with a renewed sense of purpose and a more holistic understanding of our global energy challenges. Key takeaways: ? The vastness of the energy domain beyond just electricity ? The critical importance of diverse perspectives in solving energy challenges ? The urgent need for innovative solutions to address energy poverty globally. Excited to share more about this incredible journey in the coming days. Stay tuned for insights on our Houston session, program highlights, and my future involvement with The Energy Leadership Institute! #EnGenLeadership #EnergyTransition #ClimateAction

#EnGen'ers in action at AISES! AISES is a national, nonprofit organization focused on substantially increasing the representation of?American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, First Nations and other Indigenous?peoples of North America in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) studies and careers. The Energy Leadership Institute Board Member Meg Nyberg joined current #EnGen members Hehewutei Amakali and Shaun T. at this impactful, yearly event. AISES?was founded in 1977 by American Indian scientists, engineers, and educators. In view of the high dropout rates and low college enrollment and graduation rates of American Indians compared with all other ethnic groups in the United States, and the severe underrepresentation of American Indians in the science and engineering fields, Native professionals resolved to create an organization that would identify and remove the barriers to academic success for Native students. Both AISES and ELI believe in the transformative power of education, mentorship, and leadership. By nurturing talent and supporting the academic and professional journeys of individuals from underrepresented communities, these organizations are paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future in STEM and energy. #STEM #AISES #EnergyLeadership #DiversityInSTEM #InclusiveWorkforce #IndigenousLeadership #CleanEnergyFuture #EnGen

?? Building Leaders Through Civil Dialogue at the Energy Leadership Institute ?? At the Energy Leadership Institute, we understand that the most effective leaders don’t make decisions in isolation—they engage their teams and communities through thoughtful, collaborative dialogue. Recently, we partnered with the Interactivity Foundation to host an incredible event focused on honing these skills. Through hands-on activities, our participants explored how civil discourse can transform leadership, creating an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives thrive. We're proud to be driving the future of energy leadership in such a meaningful way! “Having experts in civil discourse from Interactivity Foundation lead our cohort through the activity was invaluable. These techniques can be learned – and having the Interactivity Foundation team’s guidance was very eye-opening. As leaders of the program, we gained specific knowledge about how to continue facilitating these conversations ourselves.” – Rachel Peterson, P.G., Founding Board Member at The Energy Leadership Institute #Leadership #EnergyIndustry #Collaboration #Innovation

Couldn't have said it better ourselves. Applications close soon for our 2025 #EnGen cohort! https://lnkd.in/gFRCbEnn
Make no mistake about it, energy is THE emerging issue of our day. Balancing environmental stewardship and responsible energy production with energy security and affordability will be debated for decades to come. With that said, here is my friendly reminder: nothing is as black and white as it seems... and for energy that couldn't be more true. So many posts I see on LI each day are either A) over-simplified, B) dismissive toward other viewpoints, or C) completely misleading. That's where The Energy Leadership Institute comes in. The #ENGEN program provides a collaborative forum for energy leaders across all sectors to have substantive, intentional, and productive conversations about society's most pressing energy-related issues. From CEO's of fortune 500 energy companies, to directors of government agencies, to energy non-profits and just about everything in between, ENGEN provides a safe and inclusive setting for the sharing of perspectives and ideas to advance our vision of a future where the complex challenges of the energy industry are met by thoughtful, connected, and solution-oriented leaders, working together to solve society’s most pressing energy-related issues As an alumni of this program and proud board member, please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions about the application process or qualifications! The clock is ticking...Registration for the 2025 ENGEN Cohort closes in a couple of weeks. #Leadership #Climate #EnergyFuture https://lnkd.in/gxBzzi54
