The Elizabeth Hospice, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides medical, emotional and spiritual support to children and adults faced with the challenges associated with a life-threatening illness, and restores hope to grieving children and adults who are feeling lost and alone. Since 1978, the organization has cared for more than 125,000 people in San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County. The Elizabeth Hospice is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a member of the California Hospice and Palliative Care Association and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Federal Tax ID 95-3275679

  • The Elizabeth Hospice is hosting a monthly walk for people grieving the loss of a loved one. Grief Walk will take place at Mission Bay on Saturday, March 15. Jenna Waters, a certified grief educator, will facilitate the experience. Participants will meet at Mission Bay Beach Club Superbloom Café at 2688 E Mission Bay Dr., San Diego, CA 92109 at 9:30 a.m. this Sat. March 15 for a 1.5 mile walk (approximately one hour). This easy-paced walking group allows participants to share with others, walk in silence, or dedicate the walk to a loved one. There’s no cost to attend; it is open to everyone in the community.     Camp Spero 2025 is currently FULL. To add your child(ren) to our waitlist, please email [email protected] CAMP SPERO, our free summer camp for youth ages 7 to 17 who are grieving the death of their loved ones. We welcome both first-time campers and returning campers to our program. At camp, children and teens honor their special person, make friends with others facing similar challenges, learn coping skills, and have lots of fun. Camp Spero 2025 will be held from July 25 through July 27 in Julian, CA. There’s no cost to attend, and transportation from San Diego to the campgrounds is provided.
