Our founder Jennifer Jackson had the opportunity to discuss inequality in the City of Detroit. What Commonwealth//McCann is empowering their employees to do is incredible. Thank you SHARE Detroit for assembling this panel. Thank you for opening your hearts to hearing stories and offering help. People helping people WILL make a difference ????
As part of our annual “Day For Meaning,” we were grateful to host and work with our community partners at Picking Up The Pieces, LLC, Coleman A. Young Foundation, The DRE Project, Independence Rides, and SHARE Detroit to address the inequities that exist in Detroit across Housing, Food Security, Transportation, and Education.??A very special thanks to Carl W. Wellborn Sr., Jennifer Jackson, Shana White, and Khary K. Turner (pictured in front row, left to right) for the thoughtful and deeply inspiring panel discussion this morning. We encourage everyone to support these non-profit organizations and to remember them on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3rd.??As part of our partnership, McCann Detroit is developing ideas and tactical plans to support their respective missions and, by extension, the Detroit community at large. #DayforMeaning. #McCannDetroit #McCannWorldgroup

The DRE Project was born out of love. Created by Jennifer JJ Jackson as a tribute to her sister Dre, we deliver home-cooked meals and groceries to families who need them. Our aim is not only to provide aid but also to bring hope -- just like Dre would have wanted. #TheDREProject #GiveBack

Our founder, Jennifer Jackson, shares her story in which she travels through pizza to find her purpose! Thank you to Kate Milligan who guides the journey and on her AMAZING podcast which features REVOLUTIONARY Girls! ??? NEW EPISODE ? ??? ? In this inspiring new episode of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, listeners are introduced to the incredible Jennifer Jackson, founder of @TheDREProject - a nonprofit organization that delivers home-cooked meals and groceries to individuals and families in need. ? ? LISTEN NOW: https://lnkd.in/gDzfSx3H ? Jennifer founded The DRE Project in honor of her sister, Andrea, who passed away but who was (and still is!) a beacon of light to the world. Jennifer wanted to do something to honor her sister’s legacy and after she began delivering meals to individuals and families in need during the COVID lockdown – she decided to turn those deliveries into something bigger and honor her sister in the process. And that’s how The DRE Project was born. ? ? Jennifer is an example to all of us that we can all do something to make a difference in the world. Jennifer’s dream job as a kid was to work with her dad’s pizza business (Hungry Howies) and while she achieved that and still works there to this day, she wanted to do more and help others – which started out as buying meals for others and now has turned into this incredible nonprofit mission. We can all do something to make a difference in our communities and in the world. ? ? LISTEN to episode #212 of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast: https://lnkd.in/gDzfSx3H ? In this episode, you’ll hear: ? ?? Jennifer’s life story and how she got into the business of pizza;? ??About Jennifer’s life and career;? ??How Jennifer started feeding people in need during the COVID lockdown;? ??About Jennifer’s sister Andrea and how The DRE Project came to be;? ??Stories of people who have been helped by The DRE Project;? ??And so much more. ? ?
