Last week our President & CEO Travis Pearson gave a keynote address at the Arkansas Workforce Partners Conference in Little Rock. Today staff in our Portland office assembled a few hundred of the 1,000 backpacks that the Community Services Network will be giving out at a Back To School Community Resource Fair on Saturday, August 17! The event is at the The Salvation Army Moore Street Corps & Community Center and in addition to the backpacks, will offer vaccines, nonprofit resources, a food pantry, and lots of fun activities for the whole family. Last year was our first year cohosting a disability-focused fair with Meadowlark Employment Services, and it was such a hit that we're bringing it back again! On Thursday, April 11, from 11am-3pm, join us for a Disability Employment Resource Fair at the home of Meadowlark's and the CSN's parent nonprofit, The DPI Group: 4950 NE MLK Jr. Blvd., Portland, OR 97211.
