This past Friday, July 26th, 2024, the band headlined the Metro here in Chicago for the first time ever. THE BIG STAGE! This theater sized hall was by far the largest venue and crowd we've played to yet, and we couldn't have done it without the venue staff and our entire team behind us helping market, advance the show, keep the fridges stocked, sling merch, run sound, run production, and load us in and out of the place. We also owe Jerry Cowgill everything for booking this show in the first place, and continuing to champion the Chicago music scene as he always has. This was seriously a dream come true for all of us in the band. Too many legends to count have played up there, and we can say we stood on the same ground. We are coming up in special times here in the city. Hard to believe that it was only a few years ago we were tucked in the corner of South Side watering holes. Up next we head out to NYC and Philly for a Friday Saturday run on August 16th and 17th! We're also recording custom 45" vinyl at Leesta Vall Studios while we're out there, and it's still available for order. The Dead Bolts Company LLC was founded by all five original band members and partners, Eddie Hennessy, John Rolence, James Ryan, Matt Paske, and Tyler Hancock, in 2021. After forming their band "The Dead Bolts" in 2018, they experienced marginal success and growth in Chicago's music scene, and recognized they needed to establish their operation as a legitimate business in which they could manage themselves, and stand out in a rapidly changing and over saturated industry. As independent artists, they wear multiple hats in the business context. Outside of creating, writing, arranging, and recording their own music, the company functions as it's own marketing agency, booking agency, and publishing company (through BMI Membership). Since the release of the band's debut album, "Pretty And Burnt Out" - recorded and produced by Mike Hager (former engineer and producer for Wilco), the company has helped grow the band to sell out multiple venues (each larger than the next) in their native Chicago, IL, and successfully steer them through 3 national tours covering the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast, and East Coast of The United States. The Dead Bolts Company LLC is currently funding the recording and production of the band's second album, and is in the planning stage for the Sophomore release.

Although companies like Spotify only pay $0.003 to $0.005 per stream, these numbers are extremely important to us. Every single, stream, save, share, and playlist add has triggered the algorithm to put our music in front of new faces and ears. This band and this company has seen some incredible growth this year. 2023 saw the release of two brand new singles, and two National Tours that took us to most of the major U.S. cities East of the Mississippi (and a couple to the West). We're extremely fortunate to pursue this path, and we wouldn't be here if it weren't for the hard work our team, and the fans that keep pushing us to bigger stages.
