For more than 45 years, The de Paul School has been the forerunner in offering bright students with learning differences specialized, internationally acclaimed instruction, catered to their individual academic needs. Every child learns differently, and at The de Paul School, we teach for that – we pair the science of research-based instruction with the art of inspirational teaching to help students who are struggling with dyslexia, ADHD, or other similar roadblocks to learning. Mrs. Furlong’s Team 4 brought science to life with snow volcanoes! ???? Using the scientific method, students wrote hypotheses about what would happen when baking soda, vinegar, and food coloring combined together. The results? Colorful eruptions monitored closely by our very own de Paul student scientists!

This morning, we were truly inspired at our 28th Annual Compassion Celebration! Each of our incredible teams showcased a cause they’re passionate about and showed the many ways they partnered with local organizations to make a real difference in our world. We’re so proud of their hard work, dedication, and heart. Their efforts remind us all of the power of compassion and community. Last night, your de Paul Huskies kicked off the basketball season with a thrilling victory in front of an energetic home crowd! This was the first game of the year, and our team showed incredible effort and teamwork on the court. A huge thank you to Coach Richard Irvin for his dedication and guidance, helping our players start the season strong! Team 3 is showing their compassion by collecting paper bags that they left for our neighbors to fill with their extra non-perishable pantry items. Last week, each student wrote (and decorated) a note asking for items to donate to the Deer Park Baptist Church food pantry and left one on each porch on our block along with an empty paper bag. This week, our hallway is overflowing with canned goods that are ready to be donated! Job Thank you so much to all of our generous neighbors for helping us collect so many full bags of food for people in need this holiday season. We also want to thank our parents for helping us transport everything! Don’t miss our 28th #CompassionCelebration next Friday, December 20, at 9am in our gym! We hope to see you there!
