"There has been a bit of a music slump since the pandemic. 2024 is shaping up to become one of the best years music has seen in a very long time. While there have been some hits in the last four years, there have also been quite a few misses."

Interview with Commissioner Lehmann-Morales The DC Voice is committed to keeping the DC residents informed of what’s going on in the community. On February 22nd, Student Writer Branson Brooks had the pleasure of speaking with Dieter Lehmann-Morales, Commissioner for Ward 1, representing Single Member District 2?in the Columbia Heights Advisory Neighborhood Commission. In their conversation, Commissioner Lehman-Morales discussed how he uses his other occupation, being a History Teacher, to gain insight into the community from a younger demographic and better serve Columbia Heights. Spring is just about here and with it the cherry blossoms are blooming, but also baseball is back! That means it's that time old tradition of making predictions again! We’ll start off with the three AL divisions and see how each of the 15 teams stack up against one another. So let’s jump right into it!

In August of 2022, an all-Black female crew operated an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Phoenix in honor of Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman to earn a pilot’s license."
